Spring Work Day at Oak Terrace — Saturday, April 26
Mark your calendars for this clean up day at Oak Terrace on Saturday, April 26, from 8am to 4pm. There are actually a number of youth from the Twin Cities coming out to help that day, including park residents, and area volunteers. Our goal is to pick up garbage in the park, making it a "Litter-Bit-Better," as well as get started on building a small park, fix on a couple homes,
and more! The scope of our work will depend on the number of volunteers who let us know they are coming. We also need 4-6 more volunteers to help prepare and serve lunch. We may have 100 or more volunteers to serve that day - so your help is really needed! Let Jeff know if you can come help with this event - email@example.com / 507.261.0720)
Fundraiser for the Kirk Family — Sunday, April 27
The Nederhoff's small group would like to do a bake sale/fundraiser/silent auction for the Kirk Family's adoption project (Judith is still in Columbia!). It has been a very long, costly process for them and we would like to help. The fundraiser will happen on Sunday, April 27th, before and after church. They would like to enlist the help of the whole congregation to provide items to sell (as well as purchase). They are looking for donations such as baked goods, craft-type things, services, gift cards, pre-made baskets, etc. Look for the sign-up sheet at church, over the next few Sundays! Send any questions/thoughts you might have to Karen (507-536-9796 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
